Description Lesser Nighthawk chicks were found in the T-38 Talon jet parking area, and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS) Airport Wildlife Hazard Management Program' local Wildlife Biologist Michael Pacheco's Integrated Wildlife Damage Management (IWDM) action was to gently and carefully relocate them to a remote location in Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Randolph, Texas, on May 20, 2019. The mother was able to follow him and be reunited with her chicks and establios a new ground nest. This species of bird are typically night flyers or crepuscular. USDA Photo by Michael Pacheco.
