English: Many dead Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) trees after the Pine Moth (Dendrolimus pini) outbreak in the Lieberose Heath (Lieberoser Heide) in 2013/2014. Picture taken at the Lieberose Desert (Lieberoser Wüste) near Lieberose, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany.
Deutsch: Viele abgestorbene Waldkiefern (Pinus sylvestris) in Folge der großflächigen Gradation des Kiefernspinners (Dendrolimus pini) 2013/2014 in der Lieberoser Heide. Da Totholz in Naturschutzgebieten nicht entfernt wird („Totholz ist Leben“), ist so ein erhebliches Brandmaterial entstanden, das bei einem möglichen Waldbrand buchstäblich wie Zunder brennt und wie in Brandbeschleuniger wirkt. Das Foto entstand etwas nördlich der Lieberoser Wüste auf dem Gebiet der Stadt Lieberose, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Deutschland.
