St. Mel's Cathedral, Longford, County Longford, Ireland
English: Tower and pediment of the portico. The pediment was sculpted from Portland stone by George Smyth, Dublin (1858/9–1927). The sculpture depicts St. Mel in its centre on his cathedra after his consecration by St. Patrick as the founding bishop of Ardagh.
