| Description |
English: View West from Chateauneuf castle's hill (Côte d'Or, Burgundy France). The village in the valley is Vandenesse, with the canal de Bourgogne passing through it and Vandenesse's canal port. Beyond Vandenesse, the canal is taking a right turn. some 3.3 km further, it goes through its tunnel-canal, starting in Creancey and coming out at Pouilly-en-Auxois. On the right-hand side of Vandenesse, its hamlets "le Frêne" and "la Tuilerie" and, behind these two, "la Chevrotte" hamlet. Left and right of the picture are two rows of trees planted at regular intervals ; they mark the D977bis road. The A6 motorway is close on this side of it. The village of Maconge is in between the two visible rows of trees but can hardly be seen because of cloud shadow. On the horizon line, some windmills sitting on the top of the crest that borders the north-east side of the "plateau du Morvan"
Français : Vue vers la plaine depuis la colline du château de Châteauneuf (Côte d'Or). Village de Vandenesse dans la vallée au milieu, avec ses hameaux "le Frêne" et "la Tuilerie" et, derrrière ces deux hameaux celui de "la Chevrotte". Le canal de Bourgogne, bien visible ici, traverse Vandenesse (on aperçoit le port de Vandenesse dans le village). 3,3 km après le port de Vandenesse, le canal entre dans le tunnel-canal de Pouilly (qui commence sur Créancey). La D977bis traverse la photo (gauche-droite) ; elle est marquée une double rangée d'arbres plantés à intervalles réguliers. La A6 la jouxte, de notre côté. Le village de Maconge est entre les deux rubans d'arbres visibles de la D977bis mais n'est guère visible à cause de l'ombre de nuages. Sur la ligne d'horizon, des éoliennes en haut de la côte qui marque le bord nord-est du Morvan. |
