Description |
"Lost dreams", by Erik Pevernagie, oil on canvas, 100 x 80 cm. x
If we can recognize that we can find the highlights of our destiny in the spell of a happy moment, we needn't worry all the time about the hurly-burly of the future. Lost dreams are images or emotions that have been haunting our imagination and disappeared out of fear or despair for not coming true. Panic, lack of confidence, confusion, frustration, obliterate impressions and beliefs. When the time has come to confront the hard truth, we may have to rewire our brains to ensure the healing from subversive mental barbs of aching incidents. Childhood hopes and 'dreams' often remain unfulfilled and peaceful dreams turn into episodes of upsetting sequels. However, wishful thinking and voluntary daydreaming can sometimes make dreams come true. Through 'conscious dreaming,' unrealistic projects, improbable ventures, and unfeasible missions can be achieved. At times, dreams can be an inspiration.
