Description
Nederlands: Het weefsel is opgebouwd uit alternerend brede banen van blauwe zijde en smalle banen waarin gouddraad is verwerkt. Op de blauwe ondergrond zijn witte lotuspalmetten geweven, waartussen kleinere palmtakjes. Op de takken zitten in goud gebrocheerde vogels met kuif en een bloesem in de snavel. Onder de palmetten zijn in goud gebrocheerde leeuwen geweven. De smalle met goud gelanceerde banen zijn versierd met vlechtwerkmotieven, arabesken en pseudo-arabische schrifttekens. Techniek: lampasweefsel met de grond in dubbelweefsel. Zie voor weefselanalyse en materiaalbeschrijving Leeuwen 1992, p. 52.
