Summary
editDescriptionMackenzie Brown 2015.jpg | The United States at FIFA Women’s World Cup and Pan Am / Parapan Am Games This summer Canada is host to two major international sporting events: the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Pan Am / Parapan Am Games. The United States has hosted the FIFA Women’s World Cup twice, and 2015 marks our seventh appearance at this premier tournament. We have competed at every Pan Am Games and have hosted twice, at Chicago 1959 and Indianapolis 1987. Participation in sports teaches leadership, teamwork, and communication skills that help young people succeed in all areas of their lives. We are proud to support all the athletes and thank them for being such inspiring role models. The U.S. Embassy is pleased to showcase American participation at FIFA, and many of the sports of the Pan American/Parapan Am Games. |
