FOV ~ 6⅔ x 4⅓ mm. Found Oct 1999. MOB coll.
Makatite sometimes looks fibrous – see e.g. File:Makatite-288534.jpg But this stuff doesn’t. In fact it has a pretty good cleavage. See File:Makatite-449521.jpg for more discussion.
It fluoresces weak blue/whitish SW and LW. It is associated with calcite (on another part of the specimen) that fluoresces much more strongly.
