Notes: Shows "downtown" Mardi Gras Indians, likely on their "Super Sunday" parade. The view is looking lakewards along Orleans Avenue apparently taken from on the elevated Interstate 10 overpass. At left the brown brick buildings of the Laffite Projects public housing. The large building at top right is the Knights of Peter Claver Building, formerly "the French Hospital". Both since demolished.
