Obituary - Mrs. John Kelly At the old home in Mayfield there passed away at 11 o'clock Thanksgiving day Mrs. John Kelly for many years a very prominent resident of Yankton county, who was much loved among her old friends here. The sad news was received with the deepest expressions of regret as Mrs. Kelly was most affectionately regarded among the pioneer families of this vicinity. Miss Mary Ann Earley was born February 3, 1844 in New York. When but 2 years old her parents moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she spent her earlier years. In 1869 she was united in marriage to John Kelly. She resided in Wisconsin until 1878 when they moved to Yankton county, where she has resided ever since. Nine children were born to this union, her husband and the four oldest children having preceded her in death. The surviving children are Bernard and Raymond Kelly of Sioux Falls, Frank Kelly and Mrs. James Gill who resides at the old home, and Mrs. J. F. Maloy of Walshtown.
