Français : Détail de la couverture d'une partition petit format (collection personnelle Eliane Daphy, dépôt Médihal), modifié par symétrie horizontale pour faire apparaître la signature de l'artiste, "Luce", inversée lors de l'impression. Le nom sur le premier cercueil, "Jean Misère", fait l'objet de la même inversion spéculaire. Le catalogue de l'exposition Maximilien Luce : Peindre la condition humaine, organisée au musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu à Mantes-la-Jolie en 2000, (Somogy, 2000, p.93) et le site du MOMA attribuent cette illustration à Maximilien Luce.
