Size: 5.7 cm x 3.5 cm x 2.7 cm
Messelite is a very rare hydrated calcium iron phosphate that was named after the Messel Mine in Germany back in 1889 or 1890 depending on who you read. This piece is from the Type Locality for the species and features beautiful whitish radial "sprays" with an unusual brownish coating of an unknown mineral.
