Description
English: The world's largest Klaushähnchen [Saint Nicholas Day Chicken] was puzzled together on the Christmas market in Mettingen, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This Christmas bet by Radio RST was a charity event in more ways than one. The Klaushähnchen is a typical kind of pastry baked in the Tecklenburger Land during the weeks before Christmas.
Deutsch: Das größte Klaushähnchen der Welt entstand auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt 2013 in Mettingen, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Das etwa vier mal vier Meter große Riesenklaushähnchen wurde dabei aus mehr als 100 großen Kuchenblechen zusammengesetzt. Als Weihnachtswette von Radio RST war es gleich in mehrfacher Hinsicht eine Veranstaltung für den guten Zweck. Das Klaushähnchen ist ein regionales und saisonales Gebäck, das im Tecklenburger Land vielerorts traditionell in der Adventszeit hergestellt und verkauft wird.
