March 30, 2020, 11:23 AM. Hi Richard, The picture you sent is a promo picture. From left to right are Jerry Morano, plays congas and vocalist from Jersey City. ... Sam Yarborough from California, bass player and vocalist who took Gary Decina's place. Gary was from Jersey City. I'm sitting center, I was the rhythm guitarist and vocalist. Paul Vacca played keyboard and is from Jersey City. My brother sitting played lead guitar and vocals and Dave Peck was drummer and vocalist, was born in Chico, California. Victor Esposito, not in the picture was the original bass player, who left the band after the first year and died of a heroin overdose soon after leaving the band and Jimmy Faye was the original drummer who left the band to start a band with Victor and rejoined the band for the last year of a 5 year run. He still lives in Chico and helped Michael with rides after heart surgery. We were a communal vegetarian band with the exception of Sam and Dave. I'm guessing the photo is from 1971. I hope this helps. I'm still in touch with Frank Bartola, my neighbor in Jersey City who I went to the Woodstock Festival with, who keeps me informed about the virus in Jersey City. Stay safe. John. December 9, 2022, 5:49 PM. The last photo, it looks like John gave you the low down on (most likely 1972). This is the members that we took on the road in our school bus (-Paul Vacca). We traveled to Albuquerque first, then to Santa Fe, then into Colorado where we playing in Pueblo, Basalt, Dillion, Boulder, Breckinridge. We also stayed in Tucson AZ for an extended time. Living in our bus (the bedlam express) and playing in various clubs along the way. We made it back to Chico and took up residence at Lassen Avenue. (Source: Jerry Morano on December 9, 2022)
