English: Honorary doctorate ceremony for Joachim Gauck, former President of the Federal Republic of Germany, at the auditorium of the University of Münster (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster) in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Joachim Gauck was awarded an honorary doctorate (Dr. h.c. theol.) by the Faculty of Protestant Theology of the University. Here after the ceremony Rector Professor Dr. Johannes Wessels (left) in conversation with Norbert Robers, spokesman of the University of Münster and also Gauck's first biographer.
