Español: En la extensión del secarral, un vecino del barrio de hace unos 300.000 años tallaba con parsimonia un bifaz (un hacha de mano) para cazar animales y después comérselos.
Una vez extraidos los nódulos se tallaban a pie de obra para evitar transportar piedras innecesariamente, para tallar el silex usaban cantos rodados de cuarcita de la zona del jarana La Dirección General de Patrimonio Histórico consiguió que el Ministerio de Fomento y la promotora de las obras (Autopista Madrid Sur Concesionaria Española, S.A.) modificaran el trazado de la carretera M-50 a su paso por el yacimiento para evitar su completa destrucción. Ese taller y esos restos de sílex son “menos visuales que una catedral porque no tienen muros” El taller paleolítico de sílex apareció en un punto reservado a equipamientos, lo que facilita su conservación |
