Description Aquilegia pubescens—Sierra columbine. Grows in the southern Sierra Nevada from the subalpine forests to fell fields up to 4,000 meters in elevation. The species adapts well to lowland gardens despite its harsh natural habitat. Photographed at Regional Parkss Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
