「楽府」は、漢時代以来、楽曲にあわせてうたわれた民間歌謡で漢詩の一種とされた。唐時代以後は、楽府体に古題の模倣から新題の創作を導入して、「新楽府」が確立した。「詞」も宋時代に流行した韻文で、楽曲にあわせて作られる詩歌。著者の万斯同(1638-1702)は、推挙されても官に就かず、俸禄を受けず『明史』編纂に尽力した博学の歴史家で、本書も多く史実を題材にしている。本書は上51篇下16篇を収載するが、原稿の段階で、巻数を抹消している。清の著名な考証学者・全祖望(1705-1755)が校訂し、跋文を記している。明・清の原稿本は印刷罫紙を用いるのが一般的で、その罫の色で藍格・墨格・紅格抄本などと呼ばれ、宋・元刊本に次ぐ価値を有する。本書は、中国湖北省図書館に別の清抄本があるのみで出版されていない。大きさは縦27.0cm横16.0cm。匡郭の大きさは縦13.5cm横12.3cm、上欄7.0cm。(高橋智)(2017.2)
