Description
Deutsch: Der Halbtrockenrasen auf der Niederterrassenböschung in Traun ist ein kümmerliches Relikt eines früher weit verbreiteten Wiesentyps der Welser Heide. Schotterabbau, landwirtschaftliche Nutzung und die Veränderung des Wasserhaushaltes des Trauntales durch Regulierungen und Kraftwerksbauten ließen diese Landschaftsform verschwinden.
English: The semi-arid meadow on the bank of Traun valley is a lean relict of a formerly wide spread type of meadows in the heathland of Wels. Exploitation of gravel, agricultural use and changes in the hydrologic balance of the Traun valley by regulation of the river Traun and erection of hydro-power plants let disappear this form of landscape.
