English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Soldiers are lined up at the grave crosses at the Waalsdorpervlakte in the dunes near The Hague; torches illuminate this place; soldiers and civilians stand motionless while they hold two minutes of silence; afterwards the people march past the crosses; shots of the two minutes of silence as they were held in the large cities have been edited into this item: soldiers stand to attention; civilians stand still in the streets; traffic has come to a halt, etc.

Op de Waalsdorpervlakte in de duinen bij Den Haag staan militairen aangetreden bij de grafkruisen; fakkels verlichten de plek; militairen en burgers nemen roerloos twee minuten stilte in acht; daarna defileren de mensen langs de kruisen; in dit item zijn meegemonteerd shots van de twee minuten stilte zoals die in acht worden genomen in de grote steden: militairen staan in de houding; burgers staan stil op straat; verkeer is tot stilstand gekomen, enz. |
