Szeged National Theatre Planned by Fellner & Helmer. Eclectic and Neo-baroque style. Built in 1883 Artworks: façade sculptures entitled Allegories of Acting /Acting Vocation, Heroic Poetry, Tragedy, Comedy, Opera, Acting Glory/ (Erected 1883), in the southern niches József Katona statue, while in the northern ones Ferenc Erkel memorial statue by Antal Tápai (1956 works, artificial stone) - above the main entrance and exit doors - also in the lobby - there are non-figurative decorative friezes made of bronze by Károly Krajcsovics (1986 works); - INSIDE: In the lobby there is: bronze bust of Lajos Makó (Erected 1986, Inauguration 1910, Ferenc Vígh); Bronze bust of Viktor Vaszy (Erected 1986, Valéria Tóth); Ferenc Fricsay memorial plaque in relief (Erected 2014., Sándor Tóth); - József Simándy relief memorial plaque (Erected 2016, Mihály Fritz); - building decoration in the lobby Theatre masks (Erected 1986, bronze, copper, goldsmith József Kottai); - 'Walking female figure in a grand evening dress and lace hat' relief on the wall next to the left and right staircase leading to the ground floor auditorium (Erection 1986, Sándor Kligl); - A memorial plaque to Zoltán Imre was inaugurated in its lobby on March 21, 1998. Material: marble, 28x40 cm Text: Zoltán Imre, dancer-choreographer, 1943-1997 - In the lobby: József Mentes relief memorial plaque (Erected 2005) AND József Gregor relief (Erected 2009, bronze, András Lapis) AND bas-relief by writer Lajos Pósa by Mihály Fritz. Inaugurated: September 30, 2000. Material: bronze, 50x30 cm Text: Lajos Pósa (1850–1914), poet, theatre secretary, editor of „Én Újságom” ("My Newspaper"), lyricist of many songs by Pista Dankó. Foundation for the Memory of Pista Dankó 2000 It was inaugurated on the 150th anniversary of Lajos Pósa's birth, as part of the Dankó Gala evening of the Millennium Memorial Year. - auditorium with his ceiling seccos entitled 'Court Music', 'Peasant Dance', 'Children's Maskara' and 'Musicians' by Ármin Hermann Kern painter (1886 works); - in the lobby of the upstairs row of lodges there is a tapestry entitled Pegasus (Erected 1986, painter Ernő Fóth, 5sqm) AND tapestry entitled Muses (Erected 1986, János Szabó painter, 5sqm) - 1 Vaszy Viktor Square /Wesselényi Street/ = 12-14 Deák Ferenc Street = 2 Vörösmarty Street = 5 Stefánia, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
