Üröm Csókavár quarry (Other names: Crater Mine, Echo Mine, Amphiteatre Mine). Locals call it Csókavár (lit. Jackdaw castle) because the Jackdaws lived en masse in the hollows of the steep walls even around 1990. Abandoned limestone quarry. A local grade nature protected area, since 1977. The 6th station of the south circle of the Üröm educational trail. A round shaped small size quarry at the NW end of the Péter Hill. The serpentine road used by the miners on which the stone was transported by wagons has been preserved in good condition. - By the 1960s, the mine was depleted. It was filled with a gas cleaning mass. Between 2008 and 201, the contaminated karst cavity was decontaminated with the financing of the Hungarian budget and the European Union's Cohesion Fund, amounting to HUF 5 billion 754 million (c. 20 mio. euro). The mine contains Upper Triassic-age,-about 200 million-year-old,- "Dachstein limestone". - entry at Rozmaring Street, Üröm, Pest County, Hungary

Csókavár kőfejtő/ helyi jelentőségű természetvédelmi terület. Az Ürömi tanösvény déli körének 6. állomása. A Péterhegy ÉNy-i tövében lévő aránylag kis területű mély kerek kőbányát a meredek falak üregeiben még 1990 körül is tömegesen élő csókákról nevezik a helybeliek Csókavárnak. Nevezik még Kráterbánya, Visszhangbánya vagy ürömi Amfiteátrum néven is. Jó állapotban megmaradt a bányászok által használt szerpentinút amelyen szekerekkel szállították a kővet. Az 1960-as évekre a bánya kimerült. Gáztisztitó masszával töltötték fel. A szennyezett karsztos üreget 2008 és 201 között a magyar költségvetés és az Európai Unió Kohéziós Alapjának finanszirozásával 5 milliárd 754 milló HUF értékben hulladékmentesítettek. - A bányában felső triász korú,-kb. 200 millió éves,- "Dachsteini mészkő" található. A mészkő fehér, tömeges megjelenésű, gyakorlatilag rétegzetlen. Ősmaradványok elvétve találhatók benne. - A bejárati résznél K-Ny irányú tektonika mozgások által összetört breccsás szövetű a mészkő repedéseit kalcitkiválások töltik ki. A vetők közötti helyzetben laza, agyagos, fiatal 30-35 millió éves üledékörzödött meg. - A Csókavár kőfejtő 1977 óta áll helyi védelem alatt. 2000 óta része az Ürömi tanösvénynek. 2010 óta látogatható. A területtel kapcsolatos terrmészetvédelmi feladatokat Üröm község Önkormányzatának jegyzője látja el (Üröm.
