Description
English: This cartoon by Tad Dorgan illustrates the incident (described in Nellie Revell's 1923 memoir Right Off the Chest) in which, when Revell was recuperating in her hospital bed, various friends visited with books for her to read -- however, they all brought the same book (Speaking of Operations, by Revell's close friend Irvin Cobb).

Comics historian Peter Huestis has identified the portrait on the wall (labeled "Jack Drew, 1806") as John Drew Jr..
