Description
Via Dave W. MOB coll. The small pinkish xls have been ID as UK116, the Mn analogue of eudialyte. There are also some small violet prisms of cancrisilite/cancrinite (not analyzed) and some unid xls (perhaps UK53 group). I don't know if the dark stuff is a pyroxene or amphibole - the xls are very twisted and crenulated. (Judging from the back side, which is less contorted - they are arfvedsonite.) Sept 2009: Updated using stacking and better color fidelity. Also added a stereo view. For closer views of the manganoeudialyte see http://www.mindat.org/photo-194327.html and http://www.mindat.org/photo-279270.html See http://www.mindat.org/mesg-7-203147.html (especially László's comments) for information on the environments and relative rarity of manganoeudialyte at MSH.
