New Orleans, 1936. "Outskirts of factory district. New Orleans. Louisiana".

Shows street along railway tracks with somewhat dilapidated 19th century wooden residential architecture; at left part of a billboard is seen showing a school boy reading with the caption "Defective Vision"; behind it is a gasometer.

Location not identified in LOC information. This may be the old "back of town" lakewards from the Central Business District; the gasometer seen in the background at right may be the one formerly at the Poydras Coalworks.
