English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Governor Z.E. van Jan van Tilburg and his wife bid farewell to the inhabitants of Suriname at the Oranjeplein in Paramaribo now that his term has ended. They receive several gifts, a.o. a painting and wood carvings. Furthermore, in the presence of a.o. States chairman Johan Kraag and Prime Minister Severinus D. Emanuels, Archibald Currie is sworn in as acting governor in the States of Suriname.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.
Gouverneur Z.E. van Tilburg en zijn echtgenote nemen op het Oranjeplein in Paramaribo afscheid van de Surinaamse bevolking nu zijn bestuurstermijn is afgelopen. Ze krijgen geschenken aangeboden, oa een schilderij en houtsnijwerk. Verder wordt Archibald Currie in de Staten van Suriname beëdigd als waarnemend gouverneur, in aanwezigheid van oa statenvoorzitter Johan Kraag en minister president Severinus D. Emanuels. |
