Description
English: Night operation by the Uruguayan Aviation Unit of MONUSCO. This unit is equipped and trained to undertake night flights for MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) and CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) purposes. This photo was taken using a unique technique that can amplify 3,000 times the light sources, allowing to see things that are invisible to the human eye in the dark. Français : Opération de nuit de l’Unité d’Aviation uruguayenne. Cette unité est équipée et formée pour entreprendre des vols de nuit pour des besoins d’évacuations médicales et d’urgence. Cette photo a été prise grâce à une technique originale qui amplifie 3.000 fois les sources lumineuses, permettant ainsi de voir des objets qui, autrement, seraient invisibles à l’œil nu dans l’obscurité.
