Description
English: Turn up your speakers! This is a video of preserved British Railways Britannia Class 4-6-2, no 70000 "Britannia", pulling the Cathedrals Express by Steam Dreams from Alton to Ely on 7th June 2012. The train is seen passing Camberley Station in Surrey, then climbing the 1 in 60 bank from the station up towards Bagshot. Filmed from Middleton Road railway bridge.

The load consisted of 13 coaches plus a Class 67 diesel on the back, and was a big challenge for Britannia. Last year, Class 8F no 48151 brought a train up here from standing start at Camberley (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwbpi-vAxEM), accelerating all the way up. Britannia had more of a struggle this morning, not helped by the dead weight of the diesel on the back!

The conditions were pretty much perfect for steam, cool and humid with little breeze.

Britannia was built in 1951, the first example of British Railways' new standard class locos, one of 55 built in the Britannia Class, power rating 7P. She is in her second spell of mainline running since preservation and restoration, having made her return last year.
