Français : Antoine Quemizet (écrit aussi et plus souvent Quemiset) est teinturier. Après avoir fait paraître en 1769 à Rouen le programme d'un cours d'observations sur l'art de teinture en 11 p., il entre à la teinture de la manufacture des Gobelins en 1773 sous les auspices de J.Neilson et y exerce jusque vers 1779-1783 (date à vérifier). Dans l'intervalle, il publie L'Art de appréter et teindre toutes sortes de peaux, à Paris chez Charles-Antoine Jombert en 1775, il établit aussi à la manufacture un tableau coloré, puis rédige un nouvel opus demeuré inédit et que le Mobilier national a conservé ou plus exactement aurait acquis au XIXe siècle (?). Il livre ici une série d'expériences. Le Mobilier national conserve également probablement de sa période, ses premiers registres méthodiques d'essais de teintures sur textiles.

English: Antoine Quemizet / Quemiset) was a 18th century dyer passionate about his profession. After having published in 1769 in Rouen the program of an observation course on the art of dyeing in 11 p., he entered the dyeing of the Gobelins Manufactory in 1773 under the auspices of J. Neilson and exercised there until 1779-1783 (date to be checked). He published and Art of approving and dyeing all kinds of skins, in Paris in 1775, then wrote a new opus that remained unpublished and that the Mobilier national has preserved or more exactly re-acquired in the 19th century (?). Here he delivers a series of experermients. He also established a colored table. Le Mobilier national also probably retains from its period the first methodical registers of dye tests on textiles.
