Description
English: Shokoufeh Shadabi after performing at Nowruz 2018 at Seattle City Hall. The event was sponsored by Seattle-Isfahan Sister City Advocacy.

Shadabi was born in Kermanshah, Iran and came to the United States in 2011 as a refugee. She earned a Bachelor’s from the University of Washington School of Public Health and (as of 2018) is graduate student in Computer Science at Seattle University, pursuing a Master's. She is a former contralto vocalist, and has recently been combining Farsi lyrics with jazz standards.
