Description
English: New Orleans. Orpheum Theatre, c. 1910.

Notes: This was the building best known as the "St. Charles Theater" on the 400 block of St. Charles Avenue, during the years it was leased to the Orpheum Circuit before the construciton of the city's still existing Orpheum Theater building was completed in 1918.

Poster of acts out front visible includes listings for "McConnell & Simpson", "Butler & Bassett", "Ben Welch", "Subers Coakley & McBride", "Thurber & Madison", "Hal Godfrey & Co", "Milt Wood", "Vittorio & Giorgetto".

Note: Poster out front header reads "Week Mon. Mat. Mar. 21". 21 March 1910 was a Monday. Comparing act namess shown on poster with period newspapers should confirm or clarify date. At left in the background it looks like the Whitney Bank highrise building is under construction, confirming 1910 year.
