Colour plate showing uniform and personal camping and carrying equipment for members of the paramilitary National Socialist German Workers' Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, NSDAP) in Nazi Germany:

  • Tornister (knapsack) with blanket, tent sheet and mess kit, and bread bag with canteen
  • Schwalbennester, bandsmen's "swallows' nests": Ortsgruppe (local level), light brown and braid; Kreis (district level), dark brown and braid; and Gau (regional level), red and braid. The Schwalbennester is a traditional item of uniform decoration worn as Musicians’ Wings on the shoulders by German military bands that also showed the wearer’s branch of service by the use of various colors.
