Notes on using the archive website edit
Jim Baker writes in 2021 at Facebook: "The image for the baptism of Oscar Lindauer http://www.landesarchiv-bw.de/plink/?f=5-482978-262 I’m sure there is an easier way to go through these records, but this is what I did: Go the the Landesarchiv Baden-Wuerttemberg Archive search page https://www2.landesarchiv-bw.de/ofs21/olf/suche.php... and enter the town name in “Suchtext”. The resulting search will list the holdings for that place, separated by a set of years and by religion. In this case You have to go into the book of Lutheran (Evangelische) with the year you're looking for and look for the year and date within that book, rummaging around a bit. Luckily for this one, Ancestry had an index covering Lutheran records in Rheinbischofsheim which gave the page number as 262. https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/1866188:61060?tid=&pid=&queryId=7f6464c18becc2e252489b304fd6cbb1&_phsrc=Rmj1&_phstart=successSource I brought up the appropriate book for 1810 to1 1817 and went to "Bild 262" and looked for Oscar along the outer edge of the pages. It is easier than it sounds; it actually took more time to write this."
