Die 3 Deckenfresken und das Bild an der unteren Empore bilden eine thematische Einheit. Ein weiterer thematischer Bezug findet sich in einer der beiden Rocaille-Kartuschen im Hauptschiff:

Bild 015 (Fresko über der Orgel) = Papst Sixtus wird zur Hinrichtung abgeholt. Er weist Laurentius an, den Kirchenschatz an die Armen zu verteilen

Bild 016 (Gemälde an der Empore) = Laurentius verteilt weisungsgemäß den Kirchenschatz

Bild 012 (Fresko im Hauptschiff) = Laurentius vor dem Kaiser Valerian. Unten im Bild Hinweis auf sein bevorstehendes Martyrium (Feuerrost)

Bild 011 (Fresko im Chorraum) = Nach dem Feuertod wird Laurentius von Christus gekrönt. Unten im Bild die Pähler Kirche

Bild 021 = die 3 Jünglinge im Feuerofen
