Description

Recent road improvements on Ellingson Road clearly botched the handling of the Interurban Trail. When first "completed", the trail ended in 90-degree angles against the sidewalk, with most of the trail barricaded.

The city did respond to complaints by paving a turning radius, but then installed bollards in the middle of the turn! Previously, access control bollards had been set back from the road far enough that they did not interfere with turning.

While the intersection is better than it was, it still has a long way to go to meet state trail standards.

Also, the barricades and lack of a curb cut make it difficult to turn left onto Ellingson Road from the trail.
