Local call number: pr20603   Personal Author: Nage, Frank.   Title: Pam Maneeratana displays her carved pumpkins: Tallahassee, Florida   Date: 1987.   Physical descrip: 1 photoprint: col; 8 x 10 in.   Series Title: Print collections.   Accompanying note: "Local restaurateur Pam Maneeratana displays three intricately crafted pumpkins carved using a technique called Kae-Sa-Luk, a 700 year-old art carving method from Thailand."

General Note: Kae-Sa-Luk is a 700 year-old craft taught to school girls while learning culinary skills. The usual motif was floral. Pam Maneeratana uses a bird's beak knife, which was specially ordered from Thailand.
