Description Balboa Park, San Diego, California. The building on the left , the Casa de Balboa, and the free-standing arcade were designed by Frank P. Allen, Jr., 1915. The House of Hospitality on the right was designed by Carleton Monroe Winslow, 1915. This complex was for Panama-California Exposition of 1915-1916, and the buildings were intended to be temporary. The Casa de Balboa, also called The Electric Building, was destroyed by an arson fire in 1978 and rebuilt in 1981. The House of Hospitality was rebuilt to be permanent in 1997.
