Description
English: The Mausoleum of Pedro Conesa y Calderón, in the Los Remedios Cemetery in Cartagena (Spain), is a building that was built in the 1890s with the participation of the sculptor Francisco Requena Hernández and an unknown architect. Its facade, inspired by the crucifixion of Jesus, stands out with a rocky appearance in imitation of Calvary and associated elements such as the crown of thorns, the shroud, the ladder used in the Descent and the shield of Longinus, as well as three crosses that crown the work.
Español: El panteón de Pedro Conesa y Calderón, en el cementerio de Los Remedios de Cartagena (España), es un edificio que fue construido en la década de 1890 con la participación del escultor Francisco Requena Hernández y un arquitecto desconocido. Destaca su fachada inspirada en la crucifixión de Jesús, con una apariencia rocosa a imitación del Calvario y elementos asociados como la corona de espinas, el sudario, la escalera empleada en el Descendimiento y el escudo de Longinos, así como tres cruces que coronan la obra.
