Petróglifo do Vilar (Bertamiráns, Ortoño, Ames)

Fué localizado durante la campaña de seguimiento de las obras de la autovía Santiago-Noia llevadas a cabo en 2006

El conjunto, salvado in extremis de desaparecer bajo la autovía, presenta varios elementos interesantes. A pesar de tratarse de una estación formada casi en exclusivo por cazoletas y otras concavidades llama la atención su relativa extensión, ya que los grabados aparecen en al menos cuatro rocas diferentes, probablemente cinco originalmente, alguna de las cuales fue mutilada durante las obras. Resulta interesante su ubicación en la zona baja del corazón del valle de Amaía, en uno de los pocos outeiros rocosos, en una zona de sustrato básicamente sedimentario.

Hoy en día sigue sufriendo agresiones, esta vez de personas que ni saben que son petroglifos y hace motocros sobre ellos, esperemos que el Concello señale pronto la zona para que deje de deteriorarse día a día.
