Français : Photographie collective devant le cantonnement de sa Compagnie
Auguste Maline, originaire de la Martinique, s'est engagé à l'âge de 19 ans et a combattu sur la ligne du Chemin des dames. Blessé au pied et à la tête par un éclat d'obus, il a été hospitalisé à Orléans où il a dû être trépané. Pendant sa convalescence, il a travaillé à la lingerie de l'établissement. Le texte au revers de la carte postale donne, en plus d'informations très intéressantes (et non censurées) sur son état d'esprit, des précisions sur les circonstances de la photographie : "Blois le 24 juillet 1915 ; [...] Je t'envoie sur cette carte un groupe de blessés camarades ; nous nous sommes fait tirer dimanche [probablement le 18 juillet] dans l'après midi devant le château ; tu nous excuseras parce que nous sommes tous un peu........[sic!] Je vais en envoyer une aux Deshouillières [...]" |
