Object history |
Til Brugman, Reeuwijkdorp, Nederland. [1] The Hague, before 1924-after 1955. Stiftung Scaletta, Vaduz, by 1963. Galerie Beyeler, Basel, 1963-1965. Bruce B. Dayton, Minneapolis, Minnesota; gift to MIA in 1965. [1]The 1924 Vienna exhibition to which Brugman lent one work may not be our picture. According to Joop Joosten, he is uncertain if this is our work; as far as he knows Til Brugman only owned one Mondrian. The curatorial file states that the work was in a private German collection following Brugman; possibly before/after The Hague entry. |
