Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_71707_20160924_141314_2.jpg Notes: במסגרת סיורי בתים מבפנים בירושלים שהתקיימו בספטמבר 2016 נערך סיור לגן הארכיאולוגי מתחת לשער יפו הנמצא בשלבי ביצוע אחרונים של שלב א. במפגש הוצגו קטע מאמת מים עתיקה שהייתה פעילה עד המאה ה- 20 בית מרחץ רחובות מסחריים מהתקופה הביזנטית וקטע מחומת העיר מהמאה ה- 13 שקדמה לחומה העותמאנית הקיימת היום. לאחר חשיפתו ב- 1989 נזנח המקום ונקבר מתחת לחניונים וכבישים. מטרת המיזם היא לשמר את הממצאים הארכיאולוגיים להנגישם לציבור ולשלב את האתר במתחם ממילא ובשער יפו כתצוגה היסטורית בכניסה לעיר העתיקה.
