עברית: ממילא היא שכונת עבר בירושלים, וכיום שמו של מתחם קניות, מלונות ומגורים יוקרתי הנושא את שם השכונה, בעמק המקשר בין שער יפו בעיר העתיקה לעיר החדשה. השכונה הוקמה בסוף המאה ה-19 כשכונת סוחרים ובעלי מלאכה יהודים וערבים, ושגשגה כחלק מהמרכז המסחרי של העיר. בין השנים 1967-1948 הייתה השכונה בשטח ההפקר בין ישראל וירדן, בתים רבים בה נהרסו ומצבה הידרדר. לאחר מלחמת ששת הימים הוחלט להרסה ולבנות את המתחם מחדש בחלוקה לאזורי מגורים, מלונאות, מסחר ומשרדים, באחד ממיזמי הבנייה הגדולים, היקרים והארוכים בתולדות העיר.
