| Description |
One of my major projects out here has been getting better sharable aerial imagery from the NGA. A lot of people on the gov't side couldn't understand why I've been pushing for sharable data. The NGA released to me a large data set of eastern Afghanistan that's sharable. I can give this data to almost anyone, even an Afghan. I took these screen shots to illustrate why the data set is important. This is a polling station for the elections in a couple days. If you're an election monitor, who doesn't necessarily have access to high-quality imagery, wouldn't you feel more comfortable going out there if you can see what you're doing?
