| Description |
English: With the DMU on duty for a couple of days the carriages were on Platform 2. So the rostered locomotive, 4MT 80072, attached, watered and headed off to the points before reversing into Platform 1. Unfortunately "a steam leak in the superheater" meant that we didn't quite get out of the platform and then proceeded to stop start as the footplate crew restored pressure at several points between Llangollen and Carrog (Corwen not being ready yet). Our arrival was one hour late on a thirty minute journey but it didn't seem to matter especially as the tea room was open. On the plus side I got over four hours for the price of one and a half plus this shot of steam starting up. |
