Description

Queen Emma's koa bed with spool posts and beaded trim.

  • The bed's Hawaiian flag quilt, c. 1900, was made with three colors rather than the usual two—one of the reasons it's worth between $40,000 and $60,000; *Beside the bed is Prince Albert Edward’s koa four poster crib, the work of master craftsman Wilhelm Fischer.
(No photography allowed inside the house.)
