Summary
editDescriptionR. P. Resor burning.jpg |
English: R. P. Resor was an oil tanker built on speculation by the Federal Shipbuilding Company, using new technologies, designs, and construction methods. It was operated by the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey until it was torpedoed by German submarine U-578 on 28 February 1942. Only two of the 50 crew members were rescued, making it one of the deadliest shipwrecks off the New Jersey Coast. |
