English: Caption text says "Three of the world's Greatest Runners On Their Marks At Last Night's Meet, Left to right: Ray Buker, Joie Ray, and Ray Watson, all of the Illinois Athletic club, as they appeared last night in the Central A. A. U. senior indoor track and field championship held in the Patten gymnasium at Northwestern university" All three would represent the United States at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Ray would be the only of the three to medal.
