Nederlands: Razzias in Amsterdam.
One of the victims. Razzia op Joden, Jonas Daniël Meijerplein. Himmler, Seyss-Inquart en Rauter besloten een voorbeeld te stellen: de eerste razzia op joden werd een feit. Op zaterdagmiddag 22 februari 1941 verscheen een colonne Duitse vrachtwagens in de buurt van het Waterlooplein. De omgeving werd geheel afgezet. Op meedogenloze wijze werden jonge joodse mannen op het Jonas Daniël Meijerplein bijeen gedreven. Ook op de dag daarop werden vele joodse mannen opgepakt. In totaal 427 joden tussen de twintig en vijfendertig jaar werden afgevoerd naar het kamp Schoorl. |
