Summary edit

Description Red Waxcaps - probably Hygrocybe coccinea - photographed in Christchurch Park (TM161453) on 2 November 2014. If they are Hygrocybe coccinea then their common names include scarlet hood, scarlet waxcap and the marvellous "righteous red waxy cap"! I'd say they looked good enough to eat, but PLEASE don't eat wild mushrooms unless you are absolutely 100% sure they are edible.
